(December 2020) Published by the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness, this research explores how communities in Canada are increasingly adopting the Family and Natural Support (FNS) approach to supporting youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness. This brief provides key considerations, complexities and opportunities involved in FNS.

Data and Statistics
The official statistics cover the period 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021 and includes part of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic responses. The data captured reports on people who have been assessed under the Homelessness Reduction Act.
Rough Sleeping Snapshot in England (Autumn 2020)
Published 25 February 2021, new Government statistics indicating a 49 percent reduction in the number of people sleeping rough over the last 12 months in Milton Keynes.
Statutory Homelessness, January to March (Q1) 2020: England Housing: Experimental Statistics Release (MHCLG 20 August 2020)
This release provides information on statutory homelessness applications, duties, and outcomes for local authorities in England. It also reports on households in temporary accommodation. Local authority activities carried out under their statutory homelessness duties including amendments under the Homelessness Reduction Act (2017). It covers activities undertaken during January to March 2020 and households in temporary accommodation on 31st March 2020.

Statutory Homelessness
The government releases regular statistics on the levels and types of homelessness together with the outcomes of applications made and received by councils across England. The latest government figures (October to December 2019) are available here.
